Position Overview:
Serve as lead on BD&L strategic recommendations of all in-licensing and M&A projects necessary to execute Insulet’s short and long-term strategic plan. Lead landscape analysis, company identification, evaluation, due diligence and valuation through internal approval process, external negotiations, deal consummation and integration and act as key member of the Strategy & Corporate Development leadership team.

Responsibilities:
  • Contributing to the formulation of actionable strategic recommendations, and working with and presenting recommendations to audiences of senior management
  • Identifying and developing pipeline of inorganic opportunities, including growth spaces and potential acquisition and/or partnering opportunities
  • Facilitating inorganic strategy discussions in broader teams across geographies and functions
  • Profile new growth spaces and target companies in key domains, aligned to the business’ strategic priorities
  • Program manage the active and exploratory pipeline of M&A and equity deals
  • Identify and track deliverables to ensure the Strategy & Corporate Development team is on track and meeting required timelines, both internal and external (e.g., sell-side processes)
  • Manage cross-functional teams up as well as down and sideways, and across multiple markets and functions
  • Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company, industry or software. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
  • Identify and develops pipeline for inorganic growth spaces and target companies and participates in strategic planning.
  • Regularly interacts with executives and management from external companies, as well as external advisors. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with third parties or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
You will report to the VP, Strategy & Corporate Development.

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor degree required, Master’s degree is preferred
  • 15+ years of professional experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Development, or related experience
  • Demonstrated track record of transaction management from scouting and sourcing through diligence and transaction close.

Preferred Skills and Knowedge:
  • Software experience, especially related to consumer and/or medical devices highly desired
  • Experience working with cross functional teams is a must
  • Global business experience a plus
Travel – up to 25-40%
OTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements (requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least 1x/week; may work remotely other days). #LI-Hybrid
Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,520.00 - $274,802.50. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
